Police: Jobs was shot during an armed robbery at White Castle in University City

ST. LOUIS – Police say an employee was shot during an attempted robbery at a White Castle in University City Thursday afternoon.

About 3:40 p.m., the suspect entered a fast-food restaurant in the 7300 block of Olive Boulevard and demanded money at the cash register. The suspect started shooting inside the business before he was given any money.

An employee was injured during the shooting and taken to hospital. The victim is alert and is in stable condition.

Police believe the suspect ran north across Olive Boulevard. It’s unclear if he got any money.

He is described as about 6 feet tall with a thin body. He wore a blue du-rag, blue surgical mask, powder blue polo collared shirt, and loose-fitting jeans.

FOX 2’s Bommarito Automotive Group SkyFOX flew to the scene and captured footage of a heavy police presence at the restaurant.
