Houston Woman Charged with Aggravated Assault in Bissonnet Gas Station Shooting

A Houston woman, Alexus Domique Bonner, 29, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after a 40-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting at a gas station on Bissonnet Street. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of September 24, 2024, at a gas station located in the 9935 block of Bissonnet.

According to detectives from the Houston Police Department (HPD) Major Assaults & Family Violence Division, officers responded to a call reporting a person down and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

As the investigation unfolded, HPD officers were alerted to a separate incident involving a woman at a hospital who claimed to have been assaulted. During questioning, the woman, later identified as Bonner, admitted to shooting the man at the gas station. She provided a statement to detectives while being treated for a head injury.
